Chas Roberts: A History of Serving Arizonans

Local, family-owned Chas Roberts Air Conditioning and Plumbing has built a strong foundation by providing quality air conditioning and heating system installations and Phoenix AC repair service, at competitive prices. Over the years, Chas Roberts has also become known as a company that values giving back to its community.

73 Years of Caring

Founded by Chas and Alice Roberts in 1942, Chas Roberts Air Conditioning & Plumbing is Arizona’s largest provider of Phoenix air conditioning service today. Chas Roberts’ growth over the past seven decades is a direct result of providing honest and reliable air conditioning and heating services in Phoenix and Tucson. Over the company’s history, it has been recognized many times for setting the standard for trustworthy and ethical business practices and for being a caring community business, including being one of only eight companies to receive the Greater Phoenix Chamber of Commerce’s 2013 IMPACT Award.

Over the years, Chas Roberts and its employees and owners have donated thousands of dollars and thousands of hours to local and national charities. Chas Roberts has installed air conditioning units for many Habitat for Humanity and HomeBase Youth Services homes and sponsored numerous charitable events. When the company heard about a young Valley girl with cancer, the company also provided a new air conditioning system when she received a new home from Extreme Makeover: Home Edition in 2005. Chas Roberts has sponsored numerous youth athletic teams and often makes financial contributions to causes that are close to their employees’ hearts.

Chas’s Annual Charitable Program: Cool Play AC Giveaway

Chas Roberts gives back to its communities in many ways, but perhaps the Phoenix AC repair company’s most prominent giving program is its sponsorship of the Cool Play AC Giveaway, a contest that first started in 2009. Each year, Chas Roberts gives away air conditioning and heating systems to deserving families and charities in Arizona. Winners are selected based on nominations that detail their stories of need. Previous winners include parents who have lost a job, foster and adoptive parents and military veterans, and even a local nonprofit serving disadvantaged youth.

As a family-owned and operated Phoenix air conditioning service business, Chas Roberts looks forward to this contest every year as a way to give back to the communities that have done so much to make the company a success. The 2015 Cool Play AC Giveaway nomination period recently ended and the winners will be announced soon. Stay tuned to ChasRoberts.com to learn more.
