Jeff Zimmerman oversees the Retail Service and Warranty Divisions for Chas Roberts. He began his career in the public accounting sector at KPMG. Then moved to the Home Building sector where he was most recently the Vice President of Land Development for Taylor Woodrow Homes.

Vice President of Commercial
David Bohnsack serves as the Vice President of the commercial division for Chas Roberts Commercial and M.J. Schneider plumbing & Mechanical. He joined Chas Roberts in March of 2014 as the Commercial Service Manager and assumed the role of Vice President in July of 2014.
With over 35 years’ experience in the commercial and residential plumbing, HVAC and mechanical business, David brings a new aspect to the Chas Roberts Company. David was born and raised in Los Angeles CA, where he met his wife Janet of over 31 years. David was the owner and sole proprietor of a small plumbing business that he expanded and sold. He moved to the Phoenix, Arizona in 1991. In 2005 David and his wife move to the Mid Atlantic area where he worked as a Senior Mechanical estimator, Project manager and Service manager for a large mechanical contractor. He was instrumental in delivering many successful projects in the commercial and government sectors. David obtained his LEED certification in 2014. He and his wife Janet have two daughters. They enjoy traveling, Hiking and spending time with family and friends.
Chief Financial Officer
Laurie Barnes serves as Chief Financial Officer for Chas Roberts Air Conditioning. She joined the company in September 2013 and oversees the finance, treasury management and human resources functions of the Company.
With more than 25 years of experience in finance and accounting, Barnes has worked with a variety of firms including manufacturing, software, homebuilding and land development industries. A graduate of Oklahoma State University, she started her career in public accounting with KPMG. She is a Certified Public Accountant and a Member of the Arizona Society of CPAs. Laurie enjoys various philanthropic activities and outdoor activities including running, tennis and mountain biking.
Director of Human Resources
Karla Smith, PHR is the Director of Human Resources for Chas Roberts Air Conditioning. She joined the company as the Marketing Director in October 2002 and transitioned to Human Resources in 2004. Karla is responsible for the company’s human resources and payroll functions and plays a key role in developing and implementing the company’s wellness initiatives.
Prior to joining Chas Roberts, Karla worked as the Law Enforcement Torch Run Manager for Special Olympics Arizona. Before that, she was a Project Manager for Valley Metro’s third-party vanpool provider. Outside of Chas Roberts, Karla is a member of the Society for Human Resource Management and the Arizona State Alumni Association.
