Some Things in Life Are Free: Arizona HVAC Company Gives Away Air Conditioners

Air conditioning is something many people take for granted or view as a luxury, but in Arizona, where temperatures reach over 100 degrees for many months of the year, air conditioning is a necessity. Unfortunately, a properly working home air conditioning system is a necessity that some people cannot afford.

That is why, for the fifth summer in a row, Chas Roberts Air Conditioning and Plumbing, a top Phoenix air conditioning contractor, is coming to the rescue by giving away two free home air conditioning systems, installation included, through their AC Giveaway contest. Chas Roberts understands the importance of having an HVAC system that works at top performance so the company launched the first ever AC Giveaway contest in 2010 as a way to give back to the community and help the Arizonans who have made the company a top Phoenix AC contractor.

A History of Deserving Recipients

In the contest’s previous four years, many deserving families have won, including a couple that runs an animal rescue in their home, a single mother of two children who was laid off from her job, a woman who was working a full-time job while going to nursing school, the father of two adopted children who was forced to resign from his job due to health issues, a U.S. Army veteran and an elderly woman who spent years as a foster parent for abused and troubled children.

For the first time in 2013, Chas Roberts selected a nonprofit organization as one of the winners. The Phoenix Children’s Project helps impoverished children in the Phoenix metro area by providing back-to-school clothes and supplies, Christmas and Easter gifts, family food boxes, swimming lessons, a summer camp, and much more. Chas Roberts installed two systems for Phoenix Children’s Project: one in a single family home that houses a family in need and another in a home used for a children’s community center where children can play games, read, do crafts and learn, all in a safe and fun environment.

According to Phoenix Children’s Project CEO Mary Frieling, the organization had to shut down their summer activity program due to being without air conditioning. But when they won the 2013 AC Giveaway, they were able to re-open and continue their mission of feeding and clothing children and providing a safe place for them to hang out.

Now Underway: The 2014 AC Giveaway

Phoenix air conditioning contractor Chas Roberts is currently accepting nominations for the 2014 AC Giveaway contest. Two winners will be selected to receive either a new Carrier or Goodman air conditioning and heating system installed by Chas Roberts. In addition, each winner will also receive one year of Chas Roberts’ Comfort Assurance Plan (C.A.P.) which provides two maintenance visits within the first year of installation.

Winners will be selected based on their stories of need presented in their nomination form, which is now available on ChasRoberts.com/CoolPlay. Arizonans can nominate themselves or another family or nonprofit organization in need. The deadline to submit nomination forms is June 30, 2014. Winners will be selected on or before July 7, 2014 and their names will be published on ChasRoberts.com and on the company’s social media sites.
